Footbag
Net
...
Combines all the basic kicks of circle play with a harder
footbag, and a high-flying
acrobatic game of spikes, blocks, and digs.
On a
doubles badminton
sized court (44' x 20'
or 13.5m x 6m), players will use a set and spike strategy, similar to beach volleyball, to return the footbag over a 5' (1.5m)
net.
In singles, 2 kicks aside are allowed; in doubles and
mixed doubles, 3 kicks a side. Since contact is permitted with
the feet only, players must utilize abilities such as lateral quickness,
precise control, and sheer power to triumph over their opponent.

Service is a hand toss to your foot from behind the baseline. You must
remain behind the line
and serve cross court. Start on the right, or even
numbered side. If you win the point you move to the left, or odd numbered
side and
serve cross court again. The person serving calls the score before every
serve , and you must win all games by two points.
During
preliminary rounds of competition, games are played to 11 points; 15
points in playoff rounds. Matches are the best 2 out of 3 games.
The Official
Rulebook
for the Sport of Footbag is available through the CFA.
